Walking
From the center of Mtskheta, head towards the main street, Aghmashenebeli Street (also known as the Mtskheta-Tbilisi highway). Walk along this street until you reach the Mtskheta Bus Station. Once you arrive at the bus station, look for a minibus (marshrutka) heading to Tbilisi. The fare is inexpensive, usually around 1 GEL. Board the minibus and ensure you inform the driver that you want to get off at the Old Tbilisi area. After approximately 30 minutes, the driver will announce the stop near the Old Town. Once you exit the minibus, walk towards Atoneli Street, which is a short 5-minute walk. The Giorgi Leonidze Statue is located at 27 Atoneli St, which should be easily visible as you approach the area.
Bus
From the Mtskheta city center, locate the Mtskheta Bus Station. There, find a bus or minibus going to Tbilisi. Purchase a ticket from the ticket counter, if available, or pay the driver directly upon boarding. Buses to Tbilisi leave frequently; the journey will take about 30 minutes. When you arrive in Tbilisi, get off at the stop closest to the Old Tbilisi district. After disembarking, walk towards Atoneli Street, which is a prominent street in the area. The Giorgi Leonidze Statue is at 27 Atoneli St, which you will reach in about 5 minutes on foot.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Mtskheta to Tbilisi. You can hail a taxi from the main street or ask a local for assistance in finding one. Agree on the fare before starting your journey. The drive will take approximately 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic. Ask the driver to drop you off at 27 Atoneli St, in the Old Tbilisi area. Once you arrive, you will see the Giorgi Leonidze Statue nearby.
