Getting There

Walking
If you are in the center of Mtskheta, start at the main square near the Samtavro Monastery. Head south on the main road towards the river. When you reach the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers, turn left to follow the Mtkvari River. Continue walking along the riverbank for about 1 kilometer until you reach the bridge leading to Tbilisi. Cross the bridge and follow the road leading into Tbilisi. After crossing the bridge, you will be on Shio Chitadze Street. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you see the Mama Daviti Church on your left. It's a beautiful structure located on the hillside.

Public Transport
From Mtskheta, you can take a marshrutka (minibus) towards Tbilisi from the main bus stop near the Samtavro Monastery. Board the marshrutka with the Tbilisi sign and it will take you to Tbilisi city center. When you reach Tbilisi, get off at the stop near Liberty Square (Freedom Square). From there, you can either walk or take another marshrutka to reach the Mama Daviti Church. If walking, head towards Shio Chitadze Street from Liberty Square and walk for about 1 kilometer until you arrive at the church. It will be located on your left as you approach.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Mtskheta to Mama Daviti Church. You can find taxis near the main square or call one via a local app. Simply tell the driver your destination, which is located at Shio Chitadze Street in Tbilisi. The ride should take approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the church will be on your left side as you approach.
