Start your journey from the center of Pshavi. Head towards the main road leading to Stepantsminda. Follow the signs for Stepantsminda (also known as Kazbegi). The road is approximately 20 kilometers and will take you about 30 minutes to drive. Once you reach Stepantsminda, continue driving towards Achkhoti. The Kazbegi Mountains can be accessed from Achkhoti. Look for parking areas near popular trailheads or viewpoints.

From Pshavi, head to the nearest bus station. Look for marshrutkas (minibuses) heading to Stepantsminda. The ride typically costs around 10-15 GEL and takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on road conditions. Once you arrive in Stepantsminda, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Achkhoti, where you can access the Kazbegi Mountains. Taxi fares from Stepantsminda to Achkhoti are usually around 20-30 GEL.

If you prefer a hiking route and you are already in Stepantsminda, you can hike from the town towards the Kazbegi Mountains. The most popular trail starts from the Gergeti Trinity Church, which is about 3 kilometers from Stepantsminda. You can reach the church by walking or taking a taxi for about 10 GEL. The hike to the Kazbegi Mountains offers breathtaking views and can take several hours, depending on your pace and the specific trail you choose.
