To reach Old Tusheti in Shenako, first make your way to the village of Omalo, which is the main access point for Tusheti. From Tbilisi, take the road to Telavi and then head towards the Alazani Valley. Follow the signs to the Tusheti National Park. After reaching Omalo, you will need to drive towards Shenako. The road is unpaved and may require a 4x4 vehicle, especially in the summer months. The distance from Omalo to Shenako is approximately 9 km and will take about 30 minutes. Look for signs directing you to Shenako, and enjoy the scenic views along the way.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a marshrutka (minibus) from Tbilisi to Telavi, which operates several times a day. From Telavi, you need to catch another marshrutka heading to Omalo. Once you arrive in Omalo, you can either walk (about 1.5 hours) or hire a local taxi to Shenako. The taxi ride will take around 30 minutes and cost approximately 30 GEL. Ensure to check the marshrutka schedules in advance as they can vary.
