Travel Guide to Altes Palais (Berlin)

Getting There

• U-Bahn

  If you are near the U-Bahn station, take the U6 line towards Alt-Tegel and get off at Friedrichstraße station. Once you exit the train, follow the signs to the exit towards Friedrichstraße. From here, walk straight along Friedrichstraße until you reach the intersection with Unter den Linden. Turn left onto Unter den Linden and continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach Altes Palais, which will be on your right at Unter den Linden 9.

• S-Bahn

  If you are near an S-Bahn station, take any S-Bahn line that goes to Friedrichstraße station. Once you arrive at Friedrichstraße, follow the signs to the exit and walk towards the street. From the station, walk straight on Friedrichstraße and take a left onto Unter den Linden. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you see Altes Palais on your right at Unter den Linden 9.

• Bus

  Catch a bus that stops at either the Brandenburger Tor or Friedrichstraße. If you take the bus to Brandenburger Tor, exit and walk towards Unter den Linden, turning left. Continue walking for about 5 minutes until you reach Altes Palais at Unter den Linden 9. If you take the bus to Friedrichstraße, disembark and follow the same walking directions as mentioned before.

• Walking

  If you are already in the area, simply head towards Unter den Linden. The Altes Palais is located at Unter den Linden 9. Look for the historical building with notable architecture along this famous boulevard. It is approximately a 10-minute walk from Brandenburg Gate.

• Tram

  You can take a tram that stops at Unter den Linden. Make sure to check the tram routes that go towards the central area and disembark at the nearest stop to Unter den Linden. From there, walk towards Unter den Linden, and you will find Altes Palais at number 9.
