From Cologne Central Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof), take the S-Bahn S6, S11, or S12 towards Düsseldorf or Mönchengladbach. Get off at the next stop, which is Köln Messe/Deutz. Transfer to tram line 1 or 9 heading towards Bensberg or Sülz. Ride for 3 stops and get off at the station called 'Heumarkt'. From Heumarkt, exit the tram and walk towards the Rhine River.
