From Essen Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the S-Bahn line S1 towards Dortmund. The journey will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the Dortmund Hauptbahnhof station. Once you arrive at Dortmund Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and head towards the main exit. As you exit, you will see Ostenhellweg street. Continue straight on Ostenhellweg for about 10 minutes. St. Reinold's Church will be on your left at Ostenhellweg 2, 44135 Dortmund.

If you are in the city center of Essen, you can walk to St. Reinold's Church. Start at the Essen Cathedral (Essener Münster) and head west on Altendorfer Str. Continue straight until you reach Kettwiger Str. Turn left and walk towards the main shopping area. Follow Kettwiger Str. until you reach the Essen Hauptbahnhof. From Essen Hauptbahnhof, follow the previous instructions for taking the S-Bahn to Dortmund Hauptbahnhof and then walking to the church.
