If you are starting from Freiburg's main railway station (Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head south towards the city center. Turn left onto Kaiser-Joseph-Straße and continue walking until you reach the Augustinerplatz, a central square. From Augustinerplatz, walk straight on to the Marienstraße for about 300 meters. You will find the Museum für Neue Kunst located at Marienstraße 10A on your right.
