If you are traveling by car, head towards the town of Bad Harzburg. From the A395 Autobahn, take the exit for Bad Harzburg and follow the signs towards the town center. Once in Bad Harzburg, follow the signs to Burgberg. You will park at the Burgberg cable car station (address: Am Kurpark 2, 38667 Bad Harzburg). There is a parking fee of around €3-5 per day. From the cable car station, take the cable car up to the top of the mountain, which costs approximately €7 for a round trip. At the top, follow the marked hiking trails towards the Canossa Pillar, which is about a 30-minute walk from the cable car station.

The cable car operates regularly, and you can purchase a round trip ticket for about €7. After reaching the top, follow the well-marked hiking paths to reach Canossa Pillar, which is around a 30-minute hike from the cable car exit.
