Walking
From the Schnappelberg parking area (Kleines Schloss), cross the B81 highway. After a short walk, you'll find a staircase leading up the rocks. Follow the path uphill towards the Großvaterfelsen. The trail is well-marked, and the hike to the rock itself is relatively short, though it does involve some climbing. This is the quickest route to the stamp station 76. Note that the path can be rocky and requires some sure-footedness.

From Blankenburg (Harz) Busbahnhof, take bus line 257 towards Thale Hauptbahnhof. Get off at the 'Großvaterweg' stop, which is the closest to the Großvaterfelsen. From there, it's approximately a 15-minute walk along Großvaterweg to the base of the rock formation. Follow the signs for Großvaterfelsen and the Teufelsmauer. The Harz Holiday Ticket (HATIX), available to overnight guests in Blankenburg subject to tourist tax, provides free access to local public transport, including this bus route.

From the center of Blankenburg, follow signs for 'Teufelsmauer' and 'Großvaterfelsen'. The easiest parking option is at the Schnappelberg (Kleines Schloss) parking area. From there, follow the walking directions. Parking fees at Schnappelberg are approximately €6 per day. An alternative parking area is available closer to the Großvaterfelsen, but it is primarily reserved for patrons of the Gasthaus Großvater.
