Walking
Start from the Heidelberg Altstadt (Old Town) area. Head east on Hauptstraße towards the intersection with Plöck. Continue straight until you reach the Neckar river. At the riverbank, turn left and walk along the riverside promenade (Neckarwiese) for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several beautiful views of the river and the old bridge. Follow the path until you see the bridge called Alte Brücke. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Schlierbacher Landstraße. After crossing the bridge, the Staustufe & Schleuse Heidelberg will be located on your right side at Schlierbacher Landstraße 1.
