Public Transport
If you are starting from Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), take the U2 subway line towards Messestadt Ost. After two stops, get off at Sendlinger Tor. At Sendlinger Tor, transfer to the U6 line towards Klinikum Großhadern. Travel one stop and get off at Thalkirchen. From Thalkirchen station, exit and head south on Thalkirchner Strasse. Walk approximately 500 meters; Alter Südfriedhof will be on your left at Thalkirchner Str. 17.
Walking
If you are near the city center, you can walk to Alter Südfriedhof. Start at Marienplatz and head south to Sendlinger Strasse. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Thalkirchner Strasse. Turn left onto Thalkirchner Strasse and walk for about 1 kilometer. The cemetery will be on your right at Thalkirchner Str. 17.
Tram
From the area around Sendlinger Tor, you can take the tram line 27 in the direction of St. Quirin Platz. Get off at the stop called 'Südbad'. From there, it’s a short walk: head north on Thalkirchner Strasse for about 300 meters, and you will find Alter Südfriedhof on your left at Thalkirchner Str. 17.
