Public Transport
From Potsdam Hauptbahnhof, take the regional train (RE1) towards Berlin. Get off at Berlin Alexanderplatz (about a 35-minute ride). From Alexanderplatz, transfer to the U-Bahn (subway) line U2 towards Ruhleben. Get off at the stop 'Märkisches Museum' (2 stops). From the station, walk about 10 minutes east along Köpenicker Straße, then turn left onto Alte Jakobstraße. The Berlinische Galerie will be on your right at Alte Jakobstraße 124-128.
Bus
From Potsdam, take bus line 605 towards Berlin, get off at 'S Potsdam Griebnitzsee' station. From there, take the S-Bahn line S7 towards Ahrensfelde. Get off at 'S+U Warschauer Str.' (approximately 30 minutes). From there, transfer to U-Bahn line U1 towards Uhlandstraße and get off at 'Märkisches Museum' (3 stops). Walk about 10 minutes east along Köpenicker Straße, then turn left onto Alte Jakobstraße. The Berlinische Galerie will be on your right at Alte Jakobstraße 124-128.
Walking
If you are in central Potsdam, head to Brandenburg Gate (Brandenburger Tor). From there, walk towards the S-Bahn station 'Potsdam Stadt'. Take S-Bahn S7 towards Ahrensfelde and get off at 'S+U Warschauer Str.' (about a 40-minute ride). From Warschauer Str., transfer to U-Bahn line U1 towards Uhlandstraße and get off at 'Märkisches Museum' (3 stops). Walk about 10 minutes east along Köpenicker Straße, then turn left onto Alte Jakobstraße. The Berlinische Galerie will be on your right at Alte Jakobstraße 124-128.
