If you are in the city center, head towards the Rostock University on Universitätsplatz. Once you reach the university, exit onto the street called Universitätsstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Steinstraße. Turn left onto Steinstraße and follow it until you reach the Steintor, which is located at the end of the street in the Nördliche Altstadt area.

Take tram line 1 or 2 from the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) towards 'Rostock-Groß Klein' or 'Rostock-Warnemünde'. Get off at the stop 'Steintor' which is directly in front of the landmark. From the tram stop, the Steintor is just a short walk away; simply cross the street, and you'll see the historical landmark right ahead.

If you have rented a bicycle, start from the city center and head north on Kröpeliner Straße. Continue until you reach the intersection with Ernst-Walter-Straße and then take a right. Follow this road as it curves into Nördliche Altstadt. The Steintor will be at the end of this route, easily visible as you approach.
