Getting There

Walking

From the Würzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), exit the station and head south towards Bahnhofstraße. Continue straight on Bahnhofstraße until you reach the intersection with Am Brücken. Turn left onto Am Brücken and follow it until you reach the bridge over the Main River. Cross the bridge, and as you come off, turn right onto Mainkai. Continue straight until you reach the Old Main Bridge (Alte Mainbrücke). From the bridge, head straight into the Altstadt (Old Town) area. Follow the signs to Marktplatz, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bridge.
Public Transport

From the Würzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take tram line 2 (in the direction of Heidingsfeld) or bus line 14. Get off at the stop 'Rathaus' (Town Hall). From the Rathaus stop, walk straight down the street, and you will reach Marktplatz in about 5 minutes. The Marktplatz is a central square known for its local market and beautiful architecture.
