Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Würzburg's central train station (Würzburg Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head towards the main street (Central Station Square). Walk straight down Bahnhofstraße for about 800 meters until you reach the large intersection at Domstraße. From there, turn left onto Domstraße. Continue walking until you see the impressive Würzburg Cathedral (Dom St. Kilian) on your right. Once you reach the cathedral, continue straight ahead on Domstraße. After about 300 meters, you will arrive at Marktplatz, which will be on your left.

    If you're coming from the Residence Palace (Würzburger Residenz), exit the palace grounds and walk towards Residenzplatz. From there, head east on Residenzstraße. After approximately 500 meters, turn right onto Oberer Steinweg. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Domstraße, where you will turn left. Shortly after that, Marktplatz will be on your right.
