Walking
If you are starting from Würzburg Residenz, exit the palace and head northeast on Residenzplatz towards Balthasar-Neumann-Straße. Continue straight until you reach Domstraße. Turn left onto Domstraße and walk until you arrive at the Würzburg Cathedral (Dom St. Kilian). From the cathedral, head east on Domstraße and then take a right onto Saalgasse. Continue straight until you reach Burkard Gate, located at Saalgasse, 97082 Würzburg.

From Würzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take tram line 1 towards 'Zellerau'. Alight at the 'Zellerau' stop. From the tram stop, walk south on Zellerauer Strasse until you reach Saalgasse. Turn left onto Saalgasse and walk straight until you arrive at Burkard Gate.
Walking
If you are near the Alte Mainbrücke (Old Main Bridge), walk north along the riverfront until you reach the intersection with Zellerauer Strasse. Turn left onto Zellerauer Strasse and continue walking until you reach Saalgasse. Turn right onto Saalgasse and Burkard Gate will be on your left.
