From Zugspitze, head south on B2 towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Continue on B2 for about 4 km. Take the exit toward Grainau and merge onto Eibsee Straße. Follow this road for approximately 5 km until you reach the parking area for the Eibsee Lake. From the parking area, follow the signs for the hiking trail towards the Sitzbank/Blick Auf St Johannes. The trail is well-marked and will take you to the viewpoint.

Start at the Zugspitze train station and take the Zugspitzbahn (Zugspitze Railway) to Grainau. The ticket costs around €3.50. Once you arrive in Grainau, you can either walk or take a local bus to the Eibsee Lake area. If you walk, it will take approximately 30 minutes. Follow the signs to Eibsee, and once there, look for the marked hiking trails leading to Sitzbank/Blick Auf St Johannes.
