Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Gibraltar Cable Car top station, the Skywalk is a short, downhill walk. Follow the signs for the Skywalk, passing Charles V Wall. The walk takes approximately 10-15 minutes. This route is included within the Nature Reserve ticket.

  • Public Transport

    Take a bus to the Cable Car base station from various points in Gibraltar. Routes 2, 3, 4, 7, 9, and 10 will get you close to the Cable Car. From the Cable Car top station, follow the walking directions to the Skywalk. Bus fare is £1.80 for a single ticket or £2.50 for an all-day pass. A round-trip cable car ticket costs approximately £37 for adults. A Nature Reserve ticket is also required for Skywalk access.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available from the airport, border, and various points in town. A taxi tour to the Upper Rock, including the Skywalk, typically costs £8 per person, plus £8 for the Nature Reserve entry fee. Ensure the taxi has a permit to enter the Upper Rock Nature Reserve.

The state-of-the-art platform extends from the Rock, offering an exhilarating perspective straight down to the cliffs below. Built on the foundations of a former World War II military base, the Skywalk is engineered to withstand winds over 150 km/hour and can hold up to 340 people. The glass platform is made of four layers of tempered glass, each capable of supporting 600kg. Informative panels detail the geology, flora, fauna, and history of the Rock. The Skywalk is accessible and is part of the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, which includes other attractions such as St. Michael's Cave, the Windsor Suspension Bridge, and the Apes' Den, home to Gibraltar's famous Barbary macaques.
