Mediterranean Steps Travel Guide

The Mediterranean Steps is a demanding yet rewarding hiking trail carved into the eastern cliffs of the Rock of Gibraltar. Originally built in the 18th century by the British military as a communication route between defense posts, the steps now serve as a thrilling path for hikers seeking unparalleled views and a physical challenge.The trail begins at Jew's Gate, within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, ascending from 180 meters to over 425 meters above sea level.
