Discover more about Skywalk Gibraltar

The Skywalk Gibraltar offers an unforgettable experience with its breathtaking panoramic views and unique construction. Standing 340 meters above sea level, higher than the tallest point of London's Shard, the Skywalk provides 360-degree views of the Mediterranean Sea, the Strait of Gibraltar, and even the coast of Africa on a clear day. Built on the foundations of a former WWII military base, the Skywalk is an engineering marvel designed to withstand wind speeds of over 150km/hour. The glass-bottomed platform is made of four layers of tempered glass, capable of supporting the weight of five Asian elephants or 340 people. However, visitor numbers are limited to 50 at any one time. The Skywalk not only offers stunning views but also connects to other attractions within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, including the Windsor Suspension Bridge and the Apes' Den, via a series of walking trails. Informative panels along the Skywalk provide insights into the geology, flora, fauna, and historical significance of the Rock of Gibraltar. The Skywalk was opened to the public in 2018, with Mark Hamill, best known as Luke Skywalker, cutting the ribbon at the opening ceremony.
