It is linked to Commonwealth Park via the Leisure Centre and Queensway, creating a larger green corridor within the city.Campion Park is named after the Gibraltar Campion (Silene tomentosa), a rare plant found only in Gibraltar. Thought to be extinct, the plant was rediscovered in the 1990s, and its seeds were saved and cultivated. The park serves as a symbol of Gibraltar's commitment to environmental conservation and urban renewal.
