Replacing a former parking lot, this verdant space provides a much-needed recreational area in the heart of the busy city.The park's design thoughtfully integrates elements of both British and Mediterranean styles. Lush lawns and a bandstand pay homage to traditional British parks, while Mediterranean ornamental planting connects the space to its surrounding environment. Visitors can enjoy a diverse landscape featuring ornamental planting beds, over 140 trees, expansive grass areas, water fountains, an artificial lake, a bridge, sculptures, and a contemporary bandstand. The park also attracts diverse birdlife, enhancing the serene atmosphere.Commonwealth Park serves as a versatile venue, hosting events such as the Jazz Festival and outdoor cinema screenings during the summer.
