Walking
If you're starting from Chania's Old Town, head towards the central square (Plateia 1866). From there, walk straight to the waterfront promenade (Nea Chora). Follow the promenade along the sea until you reach the intersection with Odos Kydonias. Turn left onto Odos Kydonias and continue walking straight until you reach the bus terminal on your right. From here, take the local bus to Platanias. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Platanias, disembark at the main square and walk towards the beach. The 30 and 33 Squadron RAF Memorial is located at the beach area in Platanias, just a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

From Chania, go to the KTEL bus station located at 1866 Square. Look for the bus route to Platanias. Purchase your ticket at the kiosk or from the driver. Buses leave frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride along the coast. After about 30 minutes, you will arrive at Platanias. Get off at the main square, and from there, walk towards the beach. The 30 and 33 Squadron RAF Memorial is located along the beachfront, just a few minutes' walk from the bus stop.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Chania. Start from the Old Town and head towards the waterfront promenade (Nea Chora). Continue cycling along the promenade until it turns into the coastal road towards Platanias. The ride is approximately 10 kilometers and takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Platanias, park your bicycle near the main square and walk towards the beach, where you will find the 30 and 33 Squadron RAF Memorial.
