Public Bus
From Chania, head to the central bus station (KTEL Chania) located at 1866 Square. Look for the bus that goes to Kolymvari. Buses run frequently, approximately every 30-60 minutes. Purchase a ticket from the kiosk or directly from the bus driver. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Kolymvari, ask the driver to drop you off at the bus stop closest to Gonia Odigitria Monastery. The monastery is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

Walking
After getting off the bus in Kolymvari, head towards the main road. Walk straight ahead on the main road (E65) for about 1 kilometer until you see the signs for Gonia Odigitria Monastery. Turn left when you see the signs, and follow the road for another 500 meters. The monastery will be on your right. Make sure to take a camera as the views along the way are picturesque.

Bicycle Rental
If you're up for a more active journey, consider renting a bicycle in Chania. You can find rental shops around the Old Town. Once you have your bicycle, head towards the coastline on the E65 road. Follow the road toward Kolymvari, which is about 23 kilometers from Chania. It may take approximately 1.5 hours to reach the monastery by bike. Once you arrive in Kolymvari, look for the signs directing you to Gonia Odigitria Monastery.
