Getting There

Bus
From the center of Chania, head to the main bus station (KTEL Chania-Rethymno) located on the corner of Kidonias Street. Purchase a ticket for the bus heading towards Kissamos. Buses run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride along the coast for about 30-40 minutes. You will want to get off at the Tavronitis stop. From there, the Tavronitis Bridge is a short walk away. Head towards the bridge, which is visible from the bus stop.

Walking
If you prefer to walk from the center of Chania to Tavronitis Bridge, it will take approximately 1.5 hours. Start at the Venetian Harbor and follow the coast along the E65 road. Walk west along the waterfront, passing through neighborhoods and local shops. After about an hour, you will reach the outskirts of Tavronitis village. Continue straight on E65, and you will see the Tavronitis Bridge in the distance. The walk is beautiful and offers a glimpse of local life.

Bicycle Rental
For a more adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Chania. Cycle west along the coast on the E65 road. The ride is approximately 12 km and will take about 30-40 minutes depending on your pace. Follow the road signs towards Kissamos, and you will reach Tavronitis Bridge. There are bike lanes along some parts of the route, making it a pleasant ride.
