From the center of Chania (e.g., from the Municipal Market), head southwest towards the Old Harbor. Walk along the harbor promenade and enjoy the view of the sea and the historic buildings. Continue walking past the lighthouse and follow the path towards Nea Chora Beach. Keep walking along the beach until you reach the end of the sandy area. You will see a small boat dock where you can catch a local boat taxi to Lazareta. The boat ride will take about 10 minutes.

From Chania's central bus station (Ktel), take a local bus heading to Agia Marina or Platanias. Ask the bus driver to let you know when you reach the stop for the Lazareta boat taxi dock. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the waterfront and look for signs directing you to the boat taxi service. The boat taxi will take you directly to Lazareta.
