Bus
From Heraklion, take the KTEL bus to Hersonissos. Buses run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Hersonissos, get off at the main bus station.
Walking
From the Hersonissos bus station, head southeast on Eleftheriou Venizelou Street. Continue until you reach the beach promenade. Follow the promenade along the coast until you reach the end of the beach area, where you will see signs directing you towards Mount Karfi.
Hiking
After reaching the trailhead, follow the marked hiking path leading up to Mount Karfi. The trail is well-defined but can be steep in some sections. The hike will take approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace. Be sure to carry water and wear appropriate footwear.
Viewpoint Description
As you approach the summit, you will see breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the Aegean Sea.
