Bus

From the center of Heraklion, head to the central bus station (KTEL). Look for the bus line that goes to Aposelemis or Hersonissos. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride for about 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Aposelemis stop. From the bus stop, walk straight along the main road for about 10 minutes until you see the entrance to Aposelemis Wildlife Refuge on your right.
Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Heraklion. Simply tell the driver 'Aposelemis Wildlife Refuge'. The ride should take about 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to have some cash ready, as not all taxis accept credit cards.
Walking

If you are nearby and wish to walk, start from the central square in Heraklion. Head east on 25th August Street until you reach the harbor. Follow the waterfront until you reach the roundabout and take the exit towards Aposelemis. Continue walking straight; the refuge will be approximately 7 km away. This is a long walk, so ensure you have enough time and water.
