From Kavala, head to the Kavala Port. Look for the ferry terminal signs, which are well-marked. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Thasos; the journey takes about 1 hour. Ferries typically operate several times a day. Once you arrive at Limenas (the main port of Thasos), disembark and head towards the bus station located just outside the port.

At the Limenas bus station, take a local bus heading towards Prinos or Aliki. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at 'Lake Maries'. It’s approximately a 25-minute bus ride. Keep an eye on the sights; the bus will pass through some beautiful areas of Thasos. Once you arrive at the designated stop, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Lake Maries, which is a short walk away.
