Getting There

  • Bus

    From Rethymno, head to the main bus station located at 1st of November Street. Purchase a ticket for a bus to Heraklion. Buses run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Heraklion bus station, exit the bus and head towards the city center.

  • Walking

    From the Heraklion bus station, walk towards the main square (Plateia Venizelou). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with 25th August Street. Turn left onto 25th August Street and walk straight until you see the entrance to the Heraklion Archaeological Museum on your right at the corner of Xanthoudidou and Chatzidaki Streets.
