Car
From the end of the Samaria Gorge hike, exit the gorge and head towards the village of Agia Roumeli. You will need to take a ferry from Agia Roumeli to Chora Sfakion (ferry cost is around €12). Once in Chora Sfakion, drive towards Rethymnon. Follow the E65 road to the intersection with the E4 road, then merge onto E4. Continue on E4 for approximately 43 km until you reach Rethymnon. Follow signs for 'Rethymnon Beach' as you enter the city. The beach is located at Sofokli Venizelou 56, Rethymno 741 33.

Public Transportation
After finishing your trek in Samaria Gorge, take the ferry from Agia Roumeli to Chora Sfakion (ferry cost is about €12). From Chora Sfakion, you can catch a KTEL bus that will take you directly to Rethymnon. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour and costs around €5. Once you arrive in Rethymnon, walk towards Sofokli Venizelou 56 where Rethymnon beach is located. It's a short walk from the bus station.
