History of Sporades

The Sporades archipelago, nestled in the Aegean Sea, has a rich history dating back to antiquity. In ancient times, these islands were known as 'The Scattered Ones', a name derived from the Greek word 'sporadikos'. The earliest inhabitants are believed to have settled here as early as the Neolithic period, drawn by the fertile land and abundant marine life.
