Discover more about Cetti Bay

Cetti Bay is a captivating destination on Guam's southern coast, where natural beauty intertwines with a rich cultural heritage. The bay and its surrounding foothills are part of Guam's Territorial Seashore Park, showcasing the island's volcanic origins with unique rock formations like the pillow lava of Attelong Acho.In ancient times, the area was known as the village of Atte, with evidence suggesting Chamorro inhabitation for around 3,000 years. Latte stones and pottery shards scattered around the site serve as testaments to this long history. During the Spanish era, a road system was established that passed through Cetti, connecting Hagåtña to Humåtak. Unfortunately, Atte vanished from Guam's landscape after its residents sided with rebel Chamorros against the Spanish.Today, Cetti Bay allures visitors with its tranquil atmosphere and diverse activities. The crystal-clear waters are ideal for snorkeling and swimming, while hiking trails offer panoramic views of the bay and surrounding landscape. The bay is also a great spot for fishing and seashell collecting. Despite some erosion and sedimentation in the past, ongoing conservation efforts aim to preserve Cetti Bay's natural and historical integrity.
