Auto Safari Chapin is located off the CA-2 highway, approximately 87.5 kilometers from Guatemala City towards Taxisco. From Guatemala City, take CA-9 south, then merge onto CA-2. Follow the signs for Taxisco; the park entrance is well-marked. There are tolls on the highway; have approximately Q15-25 in cash available. Parking is available at the entrance to the park.
Taxi/Ride-Share
From Escuintla, a taxi or ride-share to Auto Safari Chapin will take approximately 30 minutes. Expect to pay around Q150-Q250 for the trip. Negotiate the fare beforehand. From Puerto Quetzal, a taxi will cost $30-$40.
Public Transport
To reach Auto Safari Chapin by public transport, take a bus from Guatemala City to Escuintla. From the Escuintla bus station, take a taxi to the park. The bus fare from Guatemala City to Escuintla is approximately Q20-Q40. The taxi fare from Escuintla to the park is approximately Q150-Q250.
