Walking
From the main dock in San Juan La Laguna, most attractions are easily accessible on foot. The town is relatively small and compact, making it ideal for exploring by walking. From the dock, head up the main street, also known as Paseo de las Artes, where you'll find numerous shops, galleries, and restaurants. Side streets lead to weaving cooperatives, the church, and other points of interest. Remember that the town is at a fairly high altitude, so take it easy if you're not used to it.

Public Transport
While most of San Juan La Laguna is walkable, you can also use tuk-tuks to get around quickly. Tuk-tuks are readily available near the main dock and in the town center. A typical tuk-tuk ride within the town costs around Q5-Q10. Negotiate the price before you get in. If you are arriving from another town on Lake Atitlán, such as Panajachel or San Pedro, you will arrive by boat. The standard fare for a boat between towns is Q25. Boats operate frequently throughout the day.
