Walking
Xocolatl is located in the main area of San Juan la Laguna, easily accessible on foot from most parts of town. From the main dock, walk up the main street, Calle Principal, towards the center of town. The cafe is located along this street, identifiable by its charming facade and inviting aroma of chocolate. The walk is generally easy and takes about 5-10 minutes from the dock. Keep an eye out for local art galleries and weaving cooperatives along the way.

Public Transport
If arriving from another town on Lake Atitlán, take a public boat (lancha) to the San Juan la Laguna dock. From Panajachel, the boat ride costs approximately Q25 and takes 25-40 minutes. From San Pedro, the cost is around Q10 and takes about 5 minutes. Once at the dock, follow the walking directions to reach Xocolatl.

Tuk-tuks are readily available in San Juan la Laguna and are a convenient way to reach Xocolatl from anywhere in town. A typical tuk-tuk ride from the outskirts of town to the center costs around Q10-Q15. Simply ask the driver to take you to Xocolatl on the Calle Principal.
