Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading south from the main entrance of Pacaya Volcano National Park. Follow the signs towards Los Pocitos. Continue on the main road for approximately 6 kilometers until you reach the intersection with 89RW+QC. Turn right onto 89RW+QC and drive for about 500 meters. Culumpio will be located on your left side. Be sure to check the road conditions as they can vary.
Public Transportation
To reach Culumpio via public transportation, first take a local bus heading towards Los Pocitos from the bus terminal near the entrance of Pacaya Volcano National Park. The fare is usually around Q10 (Guatemalan quetzals). The bus ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Los Pocitos, ask the driver to drop you off near 89RW+QC. From there, walk about 500 meters down the road, and you will find Culumpio on your left side.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Culumpio and prefer to walk, you can start from the main entrance of Pacaya Volcano National Park. Walk south towards Los Pocitos. The walk is approximately 6 kilometers and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Be sure to stay on the main road and watch for traffic. Once you reach the intersection with 89RW+QC, turn right and walk for about 500 meters to reach your destination.
