Public Transport
From Antigua, take a bus to Parramos, then transfer to a microbus heading to Yepocapa. Get off at La Soledad, the village at the base of Acatenango. Bus fare is approximately Q20-Q26. From La Soledad, arrange for local transport to the trailhead if needed.
Taxi
A taxi from Guatemala City to Acatenango costs approximately $45-$60 USD and takes around 1.5 hours. From Antigua, a taxi to La Soledad will be less expensive, but negotiate the fare beforehand.
Tour Shuttle
Most tours include round-trip transportation from Antigua to the trailhead in La Soledad. Shuttles typically depart from Antigua around 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The journey takes approximately one hour.
