Car
From the center of Lanquín, take the main road towards Semuc Champey. Drive for approximately 10 minutes, following the signs for Semuc Champey. The road is well-marked, and you will pass through beautiful countryside. Keep an eye out for the entrance to Hostal el Nawal, which will be on your left just before reaching the Semuc Champey Natural Monument. There is parking available onsite, but be cautious as the road may be narrow and winding.
Public Transportation (Shuttle Bus)
In Lanquín, locate the shuttle bus terminal near the central plaza. Look for shuttles heading to Semuc Champey; these are frequent and affordable, costing around Q30-40 per person. Board the shuttle, and inform the driver you are going to Hostal el Nawal. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. The shuttle will drop you off at the entrance of Semuc Champey, from where you can walk approximately 5 minutes to the hostel, following the dirt path leading to the left.
Walking
If you are already near Semuc Champey, you can walk to Hostal el Nawal. From the main entrance of the Semuc Champey Natural Monument, follow the dirt path towards the left for about 5-10 minutes. The hostel is situated amidst lush greenery, and you will see signs directing you to it. Wear comfortable shoes, as the path may be uneven.
