Getting there

Car

From Centre, take Route Nationale 2 (RN2) heading south towards Jacmel. This road is well paved and offers scenic views. After approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour of driving, you will approach Jacmel. Keep an eye out for the signs leading to the city center. Once in Jacmel, look for the road that leads to Bassin Bleu, which is around 15 to 20 minutes from the city center. Follow the signs towards Bassin Bleu, and you will eventually reach the parking area. Note that you may need to pay a small parking fee, typically around 100 HTG (Haitian Gourde).

Public Transportation

If you prefer public transportation, start by finding a 'tap-tap' (shared taxi) in Centre that is heading towards Jacmel. The fare is usually around 150 HTG. Once you arrive in Jacmel, you will need to take another tap-tap or a motorcycle taxi specifically going to Bassin Bleu. The ride from Jacmel to Bassin Bleu will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes, and the fare should be around 100 HTG. Make sure to confirm the destination with the driver to ensure you are on the right path.

Hiking

For the adventurous, you can also hike to Bassin Bleu from Jacmel. After reaching Jacmel, ask locals for the trailhead.
