Once in El Progreso, take a left onto the CA-4 road towards Tela. Continue on this road for approximately 30 km until you reach the sign for West End. Turn right onto the road leading into West End. Follow the main road, and look for signs to Half Moon Overlook. The overlook is located at coordinates 16.3087979, -86.5952053. Parking is typically available nearby.

To reach Half Moon Overlook using public transportation, first take a bus from San Pedro Sula to El Progreso. Buses frequently depart from the central bus terminal, and the fare is generally around 50 Lempiras. Once in El Progreso, transfer to a local bus heading towards Tela. Inform the driver you are heading to West End and they will drop you off at the nearest point. From there, you may need to walk approximately 2 km to reach Half Moon Overlook, or you can negotiate with a local taxi for a short ride. Expect to pay around 100-150 Lempiras for the taxi.
