From the center of Utila, head east towards the main road, Avenida Central. Walk along this road until you reach the intersection with Calle de la Playa. Turn left (north) onto Calle de la Playa and continue straight. After approximately 15 minutes of walking, you will come across a small path that leads up towards the hills. Follow this path, which winds upward, and keep an eye out for local signs pointing towards Pumpkin Hill. The hike should take about 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Utila. Start at the main square and head east towards Avenida Central. Follow Avenida Central until you reach the fork where the road splits. Take the left fork and continue until you see the signs for Pumpkin Hill. There will be a dirt path leading into the hills. Be cautious as the path can be bumpy. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes, plus time for the hike up the hill.
