Experience Széna Square

Getting There

  • Public Transport - Metro

    If you are near Deák Ferenc tér, take Metro Line 1 (the yellow line) towards Mexikói út. Get off at the third stop, which is the Vörösmarty tér station. From there, transfer to Metro Line 2 (the red line) and head towards Déli pályaudvar. Get off at the next stop, which is Széll Kálmán tér. When you exit the metro station, follow the signs for the exit towards Széna tér, which is just a short walk from the station. You will reach Széna Square in approximately 5 minutes.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    From the city center, you can take Tram Line 4 or 6 from any stop along the route. If you start at the Opera House, board the tram heading towards Széll Kálmán tér. Get off at the Széll Kálmán tér stop. Once you exit the tram, follow the signs towards Széna tér; it is just a short walk away from the tram stop, taking about 5 minutes.

  • Walking

    If you are staying in District I near Buda Castle, you can walk to Széna Square. Head towards the Chain Bridge, cross over the Danube River, and continue straight up on the Buda side towards Széll Kálmán tér. From there, turn left onto Fény utca and follow it until you reach Széna Square, which should take about 20-25 minutes depending on your pace.
