Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from any location within Duna-Ipoly National Park. Use your GPS or a navigation app to set your destination to 'Budapest, Károlyi kert 25, 1053'. The drive will take approximately 30-60 minutes depending on your starting point. Ensure you have adequate parking arrangements in Budapest, as street parking can be limited and may incur costs. Look for nearby parking garages to avoid fines.

• Public Transportation - Train and Metro

  For those using public transport, take the train from a nearby station in Duna-Ipoly National Park (e.g., from Visegrád or Esztergom) to Budapest Nyugati Railway Station. Once at Nyugati, transfer to Metro Line 3 (the blue line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Get off at the Ferenciek tere station. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Károlyi Garden. Exit the metro station, head south on Kossuth Lajos utca, then turn left onto Károlyi kert. Note that train tickets cost approximately HUF 1,000-1,500, and metro tickets are around HUF 350.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  Another option is to take a bus from a nearby village in Duna-Ipoly National Park to Budapest. Check the local bus schedules for routes heading towards Budapest. Once you arrive at a major bus terminal in the city (like Népliget), you can take Metro Line 3 to Ferenciek tere. The total bus fare is usually around HUF 1,200-2,000. After exiting at Ferenciek tere, walk south on Kossuth Lajos utca, then turn left onto Károlyi kert to reach Károlyi Garden.
