Car
To reach Citadella from Kapos Valley by car, start by getting onto Route 61 (also known as the 61-es főút). Drive northeast for about 90 km until you reach Budapest. Once in Budapest, follow the signs for Buda and take the bridge over the Danube River. After crossing, keep left to merge onto Route 11. Follow this road until you reach the signs for Citadella. The destination is located at Citadella stny. 1, 1118 Budapest. There is parking available nearby but may incur a fee.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, begin your journey at the Kaposvár bus station. Take a bus to Budapest, which typically takes around 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Népliget bus terminal in Budapest, transfer to the metro. Board the M3 (blue line) towards Újpest-Központ and change at Deák Ferenc tér to the M2 (red line) towards Déli pályaudvar. Get off at the Széll Kálmán tér station. From there, you can take bus 8E or 110 towards Kelenföld vasútállomás and get off at the Citadella stop. The whole journey will take approximately 3 to 4 hours, depending on connections.
