Car
If you are driving from Kapos Valley, head towards the M7 motorway. Take the M7 towards Budapest for approximately 130 km. Once you reach Budapest, follow signs for the city center and take the exit for 'Kossuth Lajos tér'. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with 'Szent István tér'. St. Stephen's Basilica will be on your left. Parking is available in nearby garages, such as the 'Basilica Parking' located at 'Szent István tér 2', which may incur a fee.
Train
From Kaposvár railway station, take a train towards Budapest. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at Budapest Keleti station, transfer to the Metro Line 2 (red line) towards Déli pályaudvar. Get off at the 'Deák Ferenc tér' station and transfer to Metro Line 1 (yellow line) towards Vörösmarty tér. Get off at 'Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út' station. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to St. Stephen's Basilica, located at 'Szent István tér 1'.
Bus
You can take a bus from Kaposvár to Budapest. Check the schedule for the 'Volánbusz' service, which operates routes to Budapest. The journey takes approximately 2.5 hours. Once you arrive at 'Nepliget Bus Station' in Budapest, take Metro Line 3 (blue line) towards 'Újpest-központ' and get off at 'Deák Ferenc tér'. Transfer to Metro Line 1 (yellow line) towards 'Vörösmarty tér' and get off at 'Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út'. St. Stephen's Basilica is a 10-minute walk from there.
