From Zala Hills, take the M7 motorway towards Budapest. Follow the signs for Budapest and keep driving for about 1.5 hours. As you approach Budapest, merge onto the M1 motorway at the junction towards the city center. Continue on this road until you reach the city. Once in Budapest, follow signs for the city center and head towards District V. Use a GPS or a map application to navigate to 'Id. Antall József rkp., 1054' where the Shoes on the Danube Bank memorial is located. There is limited street parking in the area, and there may be parking fees, so be prepared for that.

Public Transportation
From Zala Hills, take a bus or train to the nearest major station that provides connections to Budapest. If taking a train, you can board at Zalaegerszeg and head to Budapest-Keleti or Budapest-Nyugati station. The train journey usually takes about 2 hours. Once in Budapest, take the Metro Line 2 (Red Line) from either Keleti or Nyugati to the Deák Ferenc tér station. Transfer to the Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) and travel to the Ferenciek tere station. From there, it’s a short walk to Id. Antall József rkp., where the Shoes on the Danube Bank is located. Note that the public transport ticket cost is approximately 350 HUF (about 1 EUR) per trip.
