Car
From the center of Akureyri, head east on Hafnarstræti toward Eyrarlandsvegur. Continue on Eyrarlandsvegur for about 2 km. The Akureyri Botanical Garden will be on your right, marked by a sign. There is parking available nearby.

Public Transportation
Take Bus Line 1 from any stop in central Akureyri. The bus will take you toward Eyrarlandsvegur. Get off at the 'Botanical Garden' stop, which is right outside the entrance of the garden. The fare for a single ride is approximately 500 ISK. The garden is open from 8 AM to 10 PM on weekdays and 9 AM to 10 PM on weekends.

If you're staying in the downtown area of Akureyri, you can walk to the Akureyri Botanical Garden. Head east on Hafnarstræti and then take a left onto Eyrarlandsvegur. The walk is approximately 20 minutes and will take you through some lovely parts of the city. The garden will be on your right.
