    Take Bus Line 1 from any stop in central Akureyri. The bus will take you toward Eyrarlandsvegur. Get off at the 'Botanical Garden' stop, which is right outside the entrance of the garden. The fare for a single ride is approximately 500 ISK. The garden is open from 8 AM to 10 PM on weekdays and 9 AM to 10 PM on weekends.

    If you're staying in the downtown area of Akureyri, you can walk to the Akureyri Botanical Garden. Head east on Hafnarstræti and then take a left onto Eyrarlandsvegur.
