Getting There

Walking
Start at the Borgarnes town center. Head towards the Borgarnes bridge and cross it. Once you've crossed the bridge, continue straight on Route 1 (also known as the Ring Road) for about 53 kilometers. This road will take you directly to Reykjavík. As you approach Reykjavík, follow the signs for Miðborg. Once in Miðborg, look for Tryggvagata. The Reykjavík Museum of Photography is located at Grófarhús, Tryggvagata 15. You can easily spot the museum as it is a well-known tourist attraction.

Bus
From Borgarnes, walk to the nearest bus stop in the town center. Take the bus to Reykjavík, which is operated by Strætó. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive in Reykjavík, get off at the bus station and head towards Miðborg. You can either walk or take a local bus to reach Tryggvagata. Follow the signs to Tryggvagata and look for Grófarhús at number 15, where the Reykjavík Museum of Photography is located.
