There is no direct road from Fimmvörðuháls to Þórsmörk, so be prepared for a combination of hiking and driving.

If you prefer not to drive, take a bus from Hvolsvöllur to Þórsmörk. You can catch the bus from the main bus terminal in Hvolsvöllur.
